Jakey Pedro (Jacob Pedrana) is an Australian contemporary artist known for his bold neo-expressionist paintings that fuse surf culture with cowboy imagery. Originally from Noosa and now based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, he uses vivid colour, gestural marks, and layered mediums to explore identity, emotion, and the metaphor of life as a “wild ride.” His recurring cowboy figures and coastal-inspired palettes reflect both personal experiences and broader cultural symbolism. Since shifting from construction work to full-time painting during the 2020 lockdown, Pedro has rapidly gained recognition through gallery exhibitions and a growing collector base.
