Tanner Valant is a young American artist known for his hyperrealistic and surreal colored pencil drawings. Born in 2005 in Colorado Springs, he began drawing seriously during the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly gained international attention through social media, where his work reached over 50 million people. Largely self-taught, Tanner is currently studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His art explores themes of duality, balance, and the relationship between nature and human emotion. Often combining unexpected elements—like koi fish swimming around metallic spheres or painted hands holding bonsai tree his pieces challenge viewers to reflect on contrast and harmony in the world around them
